Russia says working on asset freeze retaliation

MOSCOW, Nov 2 (PRIME) -- Moscow is working on a response to the freeze of Russian reserves in the West, and a reaction in case of their spending will follow, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

"We see this (decision) by the West as infringement on sovereign property,” Zakharova said.

“Any use of the state of Russia’s funds without our consent will be characterized as an unceremonious theft, will lead to an appropriate response and will also affect stability of the global financial system in the most serious way."
